Adam's Wood

“Isn’t that a kind of prayer? The care and maintenance of the web of our noticing, paying heed?” - Kathleen Jamie, Findings.
Today I walk up into the woods to check on the bluebells. To see if the flower buds are starting to show and I am not disappointed. Here they are. Waiting for the sunshine and warmth to encourage them out. I pick up a stone and another. The delicate tracing of a sea urchin, a shepherd’s crown, embedded in one. An small filter funnel green with exposure to the elements. The first flowers of spring and broken white, last years hatching. Findings. Small treasures.
